The rural north
Baltimore County has had an urban-rural demarcation line since 1967, and it shows on the map. South and east of it, the county is suburban and industrial. North and west of it, around Hereford, Sparks, Monkton, Upperco, Butler, Glyndon, Reisterstown's rural edges and the Worthington Valley, the land is open farmland, horse country and large estates, much of it protected through agricultural and conservation easements.
Horse country pastures and hay ground
Northern Baltimore County is known for its horse farms, fox-hunting country and steeplechase courses. That means a lot of pasture and a lot of fence. We provide pasture mowing, brush hogging for rough fields and fence-line clearing along board fences and boundaries. Farms that make hay can use our custom haying for cutting and conditioning, tedding, raking and baling.
Reservoirs, stream valleys and steep ground
The county's northern half drains into Prettyboy and Loch Raven reservoirs through the Gunpowder Falls and its tributaries. Steep, wooded stream valleys and watershed protections make low-disturbance work important here. Forestry mulching and underbrush clearing open up overgrown edges, trails and invasive thickets while keeping soil in place. Properties near reservoirs and streams may have extra restrictions, so check with the county before clearing near water.
Estates, trails and lanes
Large estate properties often have long private lanes, riding trails and woods edges that close in quickly. We keep lanes and trails open, clear back field edges, and handle haul-off when a clean finish matters. For building projects in the county, we provide lot clearing and site preparation and grading to approved plans.
After a storm
Storms bring limbs down across pastures, riding trails and lanes. Our storm debris cleanup clears what's on the ground so horses can go back out and equipment can get through.
