A farm county with room to grow
Frederick County stretches from the Potomac to the Pennsylvania line and from the Monocacy valley west to Catoctin Mountain and South Mountain. Its broad valleys hold some of the state's most productive farmland, with dairy, hay, grain and horse operations, while communities like Urbana, Ijamsville, New Market, Monrovia and Mount Airy keep adding homes and commercial ground. Our Damascus base puts the southern and eastern county within easy reach.
Hay and pasture country
Hay is a staple here, for dairy and beef herds and for the county's many horse farms. Custom haying helps farms and landowners who have the ground but not the equipment or the hours to put up hay when the weather breaks. Pasture and field mowing keeps grazing ground productive, and brush hogging brings back fields that have grown up while a property changed hands.
Valleys, woods lines and mountain foothills
Moving west toward the Middletown Valley and the foothills of Catoctin and South Mountain, properties get steeper, rockier and more wooded. Woods lines creep into fields, fence rows grow shut, and access lanes close in. That's where forestry mulching, underbrush clearing and fence-line clearing earn their keep, opening ground back up with less soil disturbance on slopes.
Building sites and new communities
Frederick County's growth along I-270 and Route 15 brings steady clearing and site work. We provide lot clearing and site preparation and grading for builders and developers, working to approved plans, county forest conservation requirements and sediment and erosion controls. Commercial and HOA properties use our mowing for large open areas and stormwater facility edges.
Storm cleanup
Storms rolling off the mountains can leave fields, pastures and lanes littered with limbs. Our storm debris cleanup and debris haul-off get the ground workable again before the next cutting.
